Arrival on the Costa del Sol and transfer to our private luxury villa in Marbella, which will be our home for the next few days. After settling in, there will be time to rest and begin preparing for one of the most important moments of the trip. The first afternoon will be dedicated to a complete photographic equipment check: cameras, telephoto lenses, solar filters, tripods, remote releases, intervalometers, batteries, memory cards and backup systems. We will also hold a technical session covering the different photographic possibilities during the eclipse, shooting sequences and recommended camera settings. When totality arrives, we want the technical side to be already under control.

The morning will be dedicated to a full rehearsal of the following day’s eclipse session. We will set up the cameras exactly as we intend to use them during the eclipse and check solar filters, focus, exposure, focal lengths, intervalometers, automated sequences, batteries, memory cards, backup systems and tripod stability. We will then return to the villa for lunch, rest, battery charging and landscape equipment preparation. In the afternoon we will photograph the Mediterranean surroundings of Marbella, working with the relationship between sea, coastline, architecture and sunset light. We will arrive with enough time to study compositions and will work with different focal lengths through sunset and the first minutes of blue hour. In the evening we will return to the villa for dinner and the final preparation of the equipment for the eclipse.

We will wake early and leave with plenty of time to reach our selected location in Cádiz province. The plan will take into account the exceptional traffic expected around the eclipse, so we will work with a substantial safety margin. We will arrive with enough time to set up the equipment, check everything and be ready well before the most important phases begin. The morning will be dedicated entirely to the total solar eclipse. We will follow its progression from the first partial phases through to totality. The preparation from the previous day will allow us to concentrate on executing the planned sequence while also leaving a few moments to simply look up and experience the phenomenon. The selected location is expected to provide approximately 4 minutes and 10 seconds of totality. Once the eclipse is over, we will complete the sequence, dismantle the equipment and have lunch in the area. We will then begin our journey back towards Marbella. Before reaching Marbella, we will stop at El Torcal de Antequera, one of the most extraordinary geological landscapes in Andalusia. We will photograph its limestone formations during the final hours of daylight, working with wide-angle lenses, telephoto lenses and minimalist compositions. We will then return to our private villa in Marbella.

Our final day will begin early. We will head out for one last photographic session to capture sunrise along the Marbella and Fuengirola coastline. It will be our farewell to the Mediterranean after several intense days and one final opportunity to work with light and landscape. We will then return to the villa for a relaxed breakfast. After breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye, with airport transfers for those who need them or a farewell for those continuing their journey through the Costa del Sol.
