We’ll start the day at Porto Airport, picking up our travel companions in a 9-seater van.
Check-in at the single-base hotel (single rooms).
Estuary sunset: canals and marsh with moliceiros at rest, stakes and pastel reflections.

• Subjects: wooden boats, water lines, salt pans, symmetry and stillness.
• Glass: 16–35 mm for atmosphere; 70–200 mm to compress boats, stakes and layers.
• Dinner (own choice; hand-picked suggestions) and rest.

Sunrise (the calm session): pre-sun hush, moliceiros moored in glassy water, a veil of mist and reed silhouettes. The brief is simplicity and poise—let the scene breathe; compose in quiet.

• Technique: CPL to tame glare, 3–6-stop ND for gentle flow, soft GND to hold sky.
• Breakfast and a short break.
• Light midday in Aveiro (canals, bridges, art-nouveau facades).
• Afternoon/Golden hour on the coast: Costa Nova (striped palheiros) and Praia da Barra (lighthouse, breakwaters, foam lines).
• Subjects: silky water, painted wood, lighthouse backlight, anglers for scale.
• Technique: 6–10-stop ND for milky seas, sturdy tripod on the jetty; mind spray.
• Back to base (≤10 min) and rest.

Refinement sunrise (second movement): a different sector of the estuary—new foregrounds (stakes, eel-traps, reed fans). Boats pivot slowly with tide; every ripple draws a leading line. Keep voices low, keep shore pristine—work with the place, not over it.

• Technique: CPL for color depth on wood/tiles, ND/GND balance, micro-adjust horizon and spacing.
  Photo walk in Aveiro: moliceiros in motion, azulejos and art nouveau.
• Transfer to Porto in the afternoon.
• Porto shoot: Ribeira, Dom Luís I bridge, Jardim do Morro and the Vila Nova de Gaia quays.
• Sunset: golden hour over ochre facades, the Douro’s sheen and classic rabelo silhouettes.
• Subjects: bridge diagonals, rabelo boats, stacked facades, warm stone.
• Technique: short tele for layered compression; gentle bracketing in high contrast.
• Return to the same base in Aveiro and rest.

Optional closing sunrise: a micro-location chosen to complete each person’s set (minimalism, reflections, or boat detail).

Guided review: a 10–12 image selection per person, story order and editing notes.
