Booking any tour or activity organized by Zero Expeditions implies full and prior acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions, which are automatically incorporated into the contract.
These terms are drafted in accordance with the following legal frameworks:
- Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE)
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR)
- Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights (LOPDGDD)
- Regulation (EU) 2015/2302 on package travel and linked travel arrangements
- Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 on Consumer Protection
- Law 7/1998 on General Contracting Conditions
1. Contracting Parties

responsible for the website www.zeroexpeditions.com, and on the other, the individual (user) who accesses the site to gather information and, if applicable, book any offered services. The user declares to be over 18 and legally capable of entering into contracts under these conditions.
These conditions must be read carefully on each access or booking, as updates may apply.
Online product sales by email or other digital means do not exempt the client from reading and accepting these general terms. By confirming a booking or paying a deposit, the client accepts all rights and obligations set forth below.
2. Applicable Legislation
These General Conditions are subject to the provisions of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of November 16, as amended by Royal Decree-Law 23/2018 of December 21, Law 7/1998 of April 13 on General Contracting Conditions, Decree 13/2011 of February 25 on provisions to facilitate the freedom of establishment and the provision of tourism services, and Decree 6/2013 of February 8 on administrative simplification measures.
These General Conditions will be incorporated and signed by the contracting parties as proof of knowledge and acceptance by the consumer of each and every one of these conditions. They apply to all travel contracts, offers, or programs contained in the brochure, and bind both parties, along with the particular conditions agreed upon in the contract or documented in the travel information provided at the time of subscription.
These General Conditions shall apply to the services provided under Article 151.1.a) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007.
3. Access, Registration, and Website Use
To book services through the website, users must register. Registration is personal, free, and non-transferable. Provided data must be accurate. Zero Expeditions reserves the right to cancel any registration for misuse or inappropriate conduct.
Users are responsible for safeguarding their password and agree to:
- Notify of any unauthorized account use
- Log out after each session
Zero Expeditions is not liable for damages resulting from breach of this clause.
4. Bookings
A 30% deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 days before the tour starts. If payment is not completed by that time, Zero Expeditions may cancel the booking without refund.
Bookings made within 15 days of departure must be paid in full immediately.
Some trips may include special terms, which will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
5. Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods:
- Stripe: Debit/Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Bank transfer (within 48 hours of booking)
A booking is confirmed only when the total amount is successfully received. Failed transactions may result in cancellation.
Prices include airport taxes (if applicable), but do not include visa fees, exit taxes, or other local expenses unless otherwise indicated.
6. Booking Transfer
Clients may transfer their booking to someone who meets the same travel conditions, provided written notice is given at least 15 days before the departure date. Both parties are jointly liable for any resulting costs.
7. Additional Travel Information
Clients will receive prior to the tour:
- Schedules, connections, and transportation class (if included)
- Emergency contact or local support information
- Minor travel policies
- Optional travel insurance information
For wildlife observation tours, a confidentiality clause applies regarding the locations of protected species. Breach of this clause may result in penalties or legal claims.
8. Cancellation by the Client
Client cancellations are subject to the following penalties:
- 25% of the total amount if canceled 10–15 days before departure
- 50% if canceled 3–10 days prior
- 75% if canceled within 48 hours
- 8% administrative fee applies to all cases
Additional costs may apply to special services requested by the client.
9. Cancellation by Zero Expeditions
If the minimum number of participants required for a tour is not met, Zero Expeditions may cancel it with at least 10 days’ notice. In such cases, a full refund will be issued without entitlement to further compensation.
10. Tour Modifications
Zero Expeditions may modify key tour elements before departure. The client may:
- Accept the changes
- Cancel without penalty
In case of cancellation, the client is entitled to:
- A full refund
- An equivalent or higher-value alternative tour (if available)
No compensation will be due in cases of force majeure or insufficient bookings with prior notice.
11. Reporting Issues
The client must notify any contractual breach during the tour in writing. If the issue is unresolved, the client may file a formal complaint within one month. Zero Expeditions will respond within 45 calendar days.
12. Liability and Guarantees
Zero Expeditions is liable for fulfilling the contract unless:
- The client is at fault
- A third party acts in unforeseeable or unavoidable ways
- Force majeure applies
A financial guarantee or insurance will be maintained to cover refunds or insolvency. Legal claims must be made within two years.
13. Passports, Visas, and Documentation
All travelers must carry valid ID or passports. Clients are responsible for obtaining visas, vaccines, or other required documents. Entry denial due to missing documentation is not the agency’s responsibility.
Minors may require written parental or guardian authorization depending on destination law.
14. Pre-Contractual Information and Explicit Consent
Before finalizing a reservation, Zero Expeditions will provide all pre-contractual information in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2015/2302. Clients must explicitly confirm acceptance of these conditions through a digital mechanism (checkbox or equivalent).
By clicking “Book” or “Confirm,” the client acknowledges a binding payment obligation.
